Lighthouse of Saint Theodore
The lighthouse of Saint Theodore, known as Fanari as well, lies on a peninsula, next to the sea.
It is a circular structure with 20 columns and its tower is 8 m tall. It was originally built in 1828 by the British administrator Charles Napier during the British occupation. The reconstruction after the earthquake in 1953 retained its architectural character. The lighthouse of Saint Theodore works today and gives a romantic view at night. It is found 3 km from Argostoli, close to Katavothres (Sinks), or you will see it if you get the boat to Lixouri town.
